Experienced Chattanooga Built-to-Rent Industry Leader Marcus Lyons
Based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Marcus Lyons is a property developer and the principal of LFG Homes, LLC, a position he has held since January 2024. Drawing on his experience-informed instincts about housing development, Marcus builds strategic deals for individual parcels of land and leads the real estate success of LFG Homes.
Marcus has headed numerous build-to-rent and single-family projects, as well as several multifamily properties. In 2009, he established Lyons Group, Inc., a full-service apartment brokerage firm through which he developed multifamily communities in Tennessee and Georgia. As the firm’s chief executive officer, he accrued $100 million in lease-up construction, development, and planning.
In 2015, Marcus expanded his work in the multifamily industry by joining Berkadia, an apartment brokerage serving clients in Tennessee. During more than six years as senior director, he generated over $700 million in multifamily sales. A leader in the build-to-rent industry, Marcus has closed in excess of $850 million in transactions throughout his career.
Marcus attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as a finance student. He maintains memberships with several professional organizations, including the Home Builders Association of Tennessee, the National Association of Home Builders, and the National Apartment Association.
